When your body reacts to a substance in the environment that is usually not harmful, this is said to be an allergic reaction. Allergies are disorders of the immune system and are also called atopy. These environmental harmless substances that will cause the reactions are called allergens. Allergies are a form of hypersensitivity that is triggered by many factors in different people. There are so many examples of allergens that can be mentioned in your environment and they may include pollen, house dust, tree pollen, ragweed, pets, mould, latex, grass pollen, dust mites, cockroaches, cigarettes and the list is endless. The best thing to do when you notice you are prone to certain allergies is to consult a doctor.
Make sure that these factors that trigger your problem are eliminated from your space. Also, follow up on medications provided and you will manage the allergies. When you are suffering from another health condition, always inform your doctor or any other health care provider about all your allergies. In case you are allergic to medications like aspirin, you will avoid common pitfalls with this respect.
